As Global Delivery Leader of the IBM Social Analytics Practice, Amit Puri is responsible for delivering all Social Analytics client engagements worldwide. His team comprises of the on-site local consultants and centralized delivery teams based out of Philippines, India, Romania, Poland, China, Egypt, Taiwan and Brazil.
In his career spanning 15 years, Mr Puri gained his consulting and analytics expertise working for global giants in a diverse set of industries which included Suzuki Motors, Shinsei Bank, GE and Cognizant before finally settling down in IBM over 7 years back.
Through his tireless focus on Innovation and Productivity, Mr Puri has led several break throughs for his clients. In 2003, he led multiple productivity streams at Shinsei Bank to identify pockets of manual business processes and automated those through technology deployments reducing resource deployments by over 90%. In 2005, he developed an innovative spend based late fee and finance charge waiver policy for private label credit cards promoted by GE Consumer Finance. In 2007, he setup the Incentive Compensation practice for Pharma clients at Cognizant.
At IBM, Mr. Puri has held various posts traversing Market Intelligence, Business Strategy and Advanced Analytics. He has worked for IBM clients across multiple sectors and in over 20+ countries.
Born in India, Mr. Puri earned his Bachelor of Engineering degree in Industrial Engineering and followed up with an MBA with specialization in Information Management and Finance. He lives in Gurgaon with his wife and two sons and sneaks out for golf whenever he can.
