Amol Sande, Agile Project Manager, Synerzip SofTech India Pvt. Ltd

Topic Abstract

Abstract of the topic: In this presentation, I will go through the case study, where tester need to work in Project driven mindset. Agile values are most important and project should drive with them.

In reality client/company though pretends that they are following Agile but they stuck with fixed deadlines and scopes. It is challenging situation for tester to analyse the risks, deciding testing strategies.

We will start with difference between a value-driven mindset vs project-driven mindset. Practices implement to support a value-driven mindset. Fitting the testing in such context. What Scrum Master, Product Owner and other stakeholders expect from testing team in such situation and what actually they can do.

Also I will share an insight into the psychology side of software testing.

Ashish Nanotkar , Chief Technology Officer, Yash Solutions LLC.

Topic Abstract

Your tools, processes and people are constantly generating data, making and undergoing changes. The infrastructure today needs to adapt and respond in time. Self healing infrastructure and in depth KPIs are new norms.

This talk takes you through the process of building a system that is responsive to changes and operates on real-time feedback loops.

Topic Abstract

Agile for software delivery expects agility in every possible way and test automation is one of the key areas. However, BDD takes it to the next level by engaging Business Users in the overall testing mechanism. How can BDD help you achieve true agility? Does it work smoothly? Or does it throw a lot of challenges? How an organization should plan to dive in to the space of BDD? This talk focuses on what BDD offers and how should one prepare to embrace BDD without entangling in to the depth of it.

Mukesh Jain, CTO, VFS Global

Topic Abstract

With systems getting larger and larger and more complex, it is becoming challenging to keep it with Testing the whole system and impacts user experience.

Typically systems used to get designed & developed with requirements and specifications. Test Automation is done based on these and goes step by step on how it was designed.

But, we all know users use the system in a particular way and it may not be the same way it is designed. So, over test automation coverage may not be adequate.

Large software systems like Outlook and Excel are used by millions of users worldwide there are certain users use it in a way and others use it in different way. The key here to understand the behavior and plan the test automation accordingly. It is two prong way one, we need to come up with Analytics probes to understand feature usage patterns and create those stories and second need to have an in-built App monitoring in place to capture the ³real² behavior - both of these gets translated into "Day in a Life". At Microsoft, we build a system to be able to do this called Day-In-A-Life and helped setup a story upfront and then measure and use it to optimize the user experience with inbuilt measures and analytics.

In this presentation Mukesh Jain is going to share his experience implementing Analytics driven Test Automation with ³Day-In-A-Life² approach.
