Lean software development is a translation of lean manufacturing and lean IT principles and practices to the software development domain. Kanban is a visual tool used in Toyota Production System. It has a form of physical card that control flow of the material in manufacture, and therefore adopt production to customer needs rather than following plan. Therefore it helps transforming traditional 'push' approach to 'pull' flow.    This idea was adopted in lean software development by implementing techniques that visualize the workflow to limit Work in Progress, improve lead time of single feature and remove bottle necks.
