Lean software development is a translation of lean manufacturing and lean IT principles and practices to the software development domain. Kanban is a visual tool used in Toyota Production System. It has a form of physical card that control flow of the material in manufacture, and therefore adopt production to customer needs rather than following plan. Therefore it helps transforming traditional 'push' approach to 'pull' flow.    This idea was adopted in lean software development by implementing techniques that visualize the workflow to limit Work in Progress, improve lead time of single feature and remove bottle necks. It can be applied to improve work of single person, teams and even whole organization.    This two-day "Kanban for Software" training gives participants the knowledge and skills necessary to utilize Kanban approach in their projects.   At the end of the training they will learn how to: visualize and optimize production process using Kanban cards and board, perform value stream mapping and analyse the flow. Those abilities will help them to increase productivity of their teams through identifying and eliminating bottle necks in production system, and efficiently manage work in progress allowing to faster responding to market needs.   This training is dedicated to people involved in software development and maintenance: developers, testers, analytics, project managers, product managers, quality engineers, line managers, and everyone involved in software production process definition and improvement. Course can surely help Scrum teams which encountered challenges when working in fixed-time iterations. An indicative list of people who should attend this training are:
  • Project Managers
  • Developers
  • Product Owners
