The course will cover the concepts of functional automation using QTP 11 starting with basic concepts and leading to selected advanced topics. Getting abreast with the QTP and learning how to implement it to do effective test automation. It will also involve understanding the advanced level features of QTP along with doing hands on practice with them. This course is designed in such a way that it alone includes many hrs as hand on practice thus giving an edge on others on practical knowledge.

This core course provides a comprehensive understanding of using Quick Test Professional 11 as an automated functional testing tool for different environments through practical approach. The participants will use Quick Test Professional’s graphical point and click interface to record and play back tests, add synchronization points and verification steps, and create multiple action tests and will include descriptive programming. They will build upon fundamental topics by using debug tools to troubleshoot tests and use additional checkpoints and product options to broaden the scope of business processes that can be automated. Once tests are created, they will discover and correct common record and play back problems. All topics are supported by hands‐on exercises that are based on real‐life examples. Through discussions and hands‐on exercises, the participants will learn to create steps that work with dynamic objects and data, use VBScript conditional and looping statements to control the flow of your tests and components, use Data Table methods,database connection objects to retrieve external data, descriptive programming and object identification.
