Hands on Test Automation Workshop using BDD
|No upcoming event date found|
Agile development and testing techniques such as Test Driven Development (TDD), Behaviour Driven Development (BDD), Continuous Integration and test automation have redefined the software delivery process in recent years.
BDD empowers everyone in the team to write executable specifications in an easy to understand language. These specifications act as living documentation thus ensuring faster feedback and enhanced collaboration. These virtues of BDD specifications have made them an integral part of the agile testing toolkit.
About the workshop
As part of this workshop, we will start off by talking about fundamental principles of BDD and how can it improve the overall software delivery.
Then we will write our first BDD test, improvise it, enhance it and even create a framework around it. We will also discuss some of the best practices for test automation and anti patterns associated with BDD.
By the end of the day, we expect attendees to have learned:
- What is BDD and what makes it useful
- Breaking down user stories into scenariosusing Given-When-Then format
- Automatingtest scenarios using Cucumber and Selenium WebDriver
- Best practices for writing automated tests
- Signs of an unhealthy test automation suite
- “3 amigos” technique for better collaboration amongst the team
Who should attend?
If you are a tester interested in learning or enhancing your test automation skills or adding BDD to your testing toolkit, you will find this workshop beneficial.
