Dr. Gaye Saglam Expert Test Engineer and Quality Assurance Team Leader at Siemens Turkey R&D Center Dr. Gaye has a strong experience in the fields of industrial automation, software test management and people management. Between 2007 and 2013, she was working for the leading research center of Turkey, called TUBITAK, as a Senior Researcher in the field of industrial automation. She has been currently working as an Expert Test Engineer and Test Team Leader at Siemens R&D Center in Turkey since 7 years. Her key expertise areas are test management, cloud software test automation, programming for PLC and SCADA systems. She is a Control and Automation Engineer and received her Ph.D. degree from Istanbul Technical University. She is the owner of PMPÂ®, PSPOâ„¢, ISTQBÂ® Test Manager, R&D Project Management certificates. She has a great enthusiasm for novel improvement initiatives and research. In her free time, she likes reading about psychology, human behavior, personal development, testing, leadership topics. She is also interested in music, playing tennis and swimming.

Continuous testing means testing over the whole software development lifecycle (SDLC) while testing at digitalization era means much more as it requires a significant paradigm shift in quality mindset; i.e. â€œShift Left of Testingâ€ which means any quality assurance topic needs to be initiated as early as possible in the SDLC. In Siemens way of enabling better test management, this implies introduction of a new role called â€œTest Ownerâ€ to govern the testing process more efficiently.
