After over 40 years as a Software Developer, Tester, businessman and innovator, Mike is involved in a number of different capacities in the UK Digital Apprenticeships scheme.
Mike is the UK Representative to ISTQB (International Software Testing Qualifications Board) and served as Chair of the ISTQB Core Advanced & Expert Level Working Group for 8 years.
Mike continues to work on developing innovative concepts, especially in the field of experiential, practical learning & development. His latest venture, ‘FindWhatsWrong’, a software testing simulator, was launched early in 2023. ‘FindWhatsWrong’ is a platform that provides configurable software development scenarios requiring a modern practical tester to utilise their skills to discover defects in software applications and documents.
Mike is past Deputy-Chairman and an Honorary Life Vice-President at Essex County Cricket Club after serving as a Board Member for 15 years.
